Soccer at Gillette Stadium
It was disappointing when I first saw the field, as the soccer pitch lines were painted over the American Football 'Gridiron' markings. A large free coke for designated driver was encouraging. The parking was free and easy to get in--not so easy to get out. I was hoping that at a professional stadium level, the turf would have been changed from Football to Soccer. The adjoining street was not controlled by a traffic officer to let spectators drive through the red light (I'm sure they do this at football games as there are more people). They really should consider paying to have the turf changed when soccer is played--it would greatly improve the experience for the spectators. It was great to see high caliber soccer at Gillette. I got past this initial shock but during the game, it felt as if I was back in high school watching a soccer game being played on the high school's football field.
